Sometimes the most beautiful conversations arise from something very personal. Last week, I had the opportunity to speak with the newspaper about something that has fascinated me my entire life: jewelry with a story.
On the occasion of National Jewel Day, an article about Donna Dorée appeared in BN De Stem and the Algemeen Dagblad . In the interview, I talk about my work as a designer, the origins of my jewelry brand, and my love for heirlooms, among other things.
For me, jewelry is more than just a beautiful object. It carries memories, history, and personality. In the article, I also share a special family story about a piece of jewelry belonging to my great-grandmother that is still worn in the family.
It was special to be able to share my vision on jewelry, stories, and femininity in this way. And perhaps even more beautiful: to inspire people to take a look in their own jewelry box. Because often, pieces with a story lie there, waiting to be worn again.
